Spring unveiling changing landscape

For anyone who loves all four seasons, springtime in Nebraska does not disappoint.

In the last two weeks alone, we’ve gone from a dusting of snow, to an 85-degree sunshiny day, to this morning’s brief freezing drizzle that pelted downtown Omaha workers as they arrived at work.

But if you look closely at the nature around you, you will see signs that spring is starting its takeover: colorful crocus popping up in still dormant lawns, geese swimming on newly thawed lakes, buds unfolding on tree branches.

What do you look forward to when winter fades away? Take the poll on the home page of the Storm & Outage Center, and then see how you measure up with the other respondents.
