Tree interference causes outages

11:00 a.m., June 20, 2018

OPPD crews were able to close a circuit breaker to restore power to two-thirds of this impacted circuit at 10:39 am. However, a third of these customers remains without power.

We have two tree crews and a line crew working on remaining repairs. We estimate power will be restored to all by about 2 p.m., barring any unforeseen problems.

10:30 a.m.

A circuit lock-out has left 1,973 customers without power. The area impacted is between Harrison and Cary Street, 64th to 84th Street in Sarpy County.

Tree interference is to blame for this morning’s outage, according to the troubleshooter on-site. OPPD has dispatched a couple of tree crews to clear the problem. Once the tree is safely cleared, our crews can restore power.

We do not have an estimated restoration time just yet. We will post updates as we learn more.
