North central Omaha circuit lockout

12:19 p.m., June 28, 2018

Power was restored to the circuit referenced below at 12:04 p.m.

A piece of equipment failed near 60th & Kansas, which led to this two-hour outage.

11:25 a.m.

OPPD has two troubleshooters patrolling the circuit referenced below. We still do not have a cause or estimated time of restoration. However, we will provide any updates we receive as we learn more.

10:15 a.m.

We’ve got 1,879 customers without power in north central Omaha. The circuit serving them locked out at 10:07 a.m. Those impacted are between Sorenson Parkway and Pratt Street, from 52nd Street to 69th Street.

While we do not yet have a cause, there are reports of lightning in the area.

An OPPD trouble shooting crew is on the way to patrol the circuit and determine the cause.  We’ll post updates here as we learn more.
