Sarpy County outage resolved

Power has been restored to those impacted by a Wednesday afternoon outage caused by a construction crew that cut into a line. There were 403 customers who lost power due to the issue.

1:25 p.m.

The outage in Sarpy County near Highway 370 was caused by a construction who cut through a primary cable near the intersection of the highway and 144th Street. Crews are working to restore power this afternoon to those impacted as safely and quickly as they can.

12:30 p.m.

Two OPPD troubleshooters are en route to an outage affecting 403 customers in Sarpy County. The outage is also affecting traffic signals at the intersection of Highway 370 and Wickersham Boulevard. Treat the intersection as a four-way stop if you are traveling in that area.

The affected area is bound by Cornhusker Road on the north, Cooper Street on the south, 144th Street on the east and 173rd Street on the west. The cause of the outage is unknown at this time, as is an estimated restoration time.
