Pops of sunshine will be welcome all week long, as the weather forecast is calling for a lot of rain.
Tuesday brings a chance for scattered to isolated thunderstorms during the afternoon and evening, according to DTN, a service that helps OPPD keep an eye on the weather. Wednesday brings more of the same. Thursday, pop-up showers and storms. Friday, a chance for isolated showers and storms later in the day.
OPPD closely monitors the forecast so it can respond when strong storms do damage to power lines and other equipment. Downed trees typically cause a lot of damage and require clean-up before restoration can occur.
If storms get bad and you lose your power, please report it to OPPD. The more information we have on what’s occurring on the system, the better job we can do to make repairs.
