South Omaha outage restored at 5:03p.m.

6 p.m. – Crews restored power to the impacted south Omaha area at 5:03 p.m. The car accident occurred at 2:24 p.m., hitting a power pole and knocking out power to 846 customers in an area that spans Spring Street to the north, P Street to the south and 20th Street to 29th Street.

Thunder is now rolling through the metro area, so if storms knock out your power tonight, please report it to OPPD either online or by calling 1-800-554-6773.

4:30 p.m. – restoration in South Omaha is taking longer, but crews continue to work as quickly and safely as possible. The new restoration time for the outage is 6 p.m.

3:45 p.m. – OPPD crews are on location making repairs to damage caused following an accident that involved a power pole. Crews expect to have the line restored by 4:30 p.m. barring an unforeseen problem.

2:55 p.m. – Crews are en route to investigate a report of a collision with a pole and wires down in south Omaha. The reported collision has knocked out power to 846 customers and caused a circuit to lock out in an area that spans Spring Street to the north, P Street to the south and 20th Street to 29th Street.
