Check ceiling fans for summer

In the summer, we should make sure our ceiling fan blades are moving in a counter-clockwise direction. This forces air down in the room, providing a wind chill effect that makes you feel cooler. To save energy, ensure you turn the fan off when you leave the room. Fans only cool people, not the actual air temperature. For more great tips on ceiling fan usage and installation, visit EnergyStar.gov.
