9:45 a.m. weather alert –┬áThe National Weather (NWS) is cautioning that a heavy-snow band could develop this afternoon into the evening for parts of the OPPD service territory.

An inch to 4 inches is possible for the Omaha area, with heavier amounts south of Interstate 80. That area could also see accumulations up to .25 inches as freezing rain and sleet are also possible.

Snow is expected to late this morning, becoming moderate to heavy at times in mid-afternoon and tapering off by midnight. NWS said wind gusts could reach 32-mph.snow timing

The combination of snow and strong winds could make for hazardous road conditions and reduced visibility. With these conditions, galloping lines and power outages are possible.
