Outage in South Omaha

Tuesday, Sept. 28, 12:45 p.m.

One third of the South Omaha circuit outage was restored at 12:03 p.m. The remaining outage was restored at 12:15 p.m. The cause of this outage was a failed underground cable. We have a cable splicer continuing to work to make repairs. However, we do not anticipate this will cause any further issues for our customers in the area.

Our on-site troubleshooters are investigating the possibility of a failed underground cable, contributing to the below outage. If it is an easy fix, they are hoping to have power restored by approximately 12:30 p.m. However, that restoration time may fluctuate depending on the complexity of the issue.
