Omaha outage restored

12:15 p.m.

The Friday morning outage has been resolved. The outage was caused by some bad cable near 102nd and Nicholas streets. The stretch of cable will be repaired by an OPPD splicer crew. The remaining 99 customers were restored at 11:22 a.m.

11:10 a.m.

The majority of the Friday morning outage in Omaha has been restored. The cause was a stretch of bad underground cable, which troubleshooters are searching for. A small portion – 99 customers – remain out near the 96th Street and West Dodge Road area which will be restored once the bad cable is located. That repair is expected to be finished by 12:30 p.m., barring an unforeseen incidents.

10:15 a.m.

An outage spanning from Western Avenue to Shamrock Road and from 89th to 102nd streets, is impacting 1,492 customers in Omaha Friday morning. The cause of the outage is unknown at this time but a troubleshooter is en route. More information will be available here when it is known.
