Outage reported near Fremont

10:20 p.m.

About 1,100 customers are without power north of Fremont Friday night. The cause is not known at this time but there is a crew in the area searching for the cause. The outage was reported just after 10 p.m.

9:15 p.m.

Crews are working to make repairs after a damaged power pole in Sarpy County near Gretna caused a power outage for more than 2,000 customers Friday night. Some customers have been switched to other circuits and there are now about 1,400 customers impacted by the outage.

An additional crew is en route to help with repairs and the remaining customers will be switched to other circuits. Those customers should have their power restored by midnight, barring any unforeseen circumstances.

The cause of the outage is unknown though snow continues to fall around the OPPD service territory.

8:50 p.m.

Pole damage in Sarpy County is causing a power outage for 2,271 customers Friday night. The pole was knocked into three-phase power line equipment. Power will be switched in the area which will bring about 1,700 customers back online by 9:10 p.m., barring any unforeseen incidents.

There is no estimated restoration time for the remaining customers impacted by the outage at this time. The outage is impacting customers in the area of Harrison Street to Schram Road and 186th Street to the Elkhorn River.
