Outage reported in north central Omaha caused by kite

4:25 p.m. – Power has been restored to customers affected by this outage.

4 p.m. – The outage in north central Omaha was caused by a kite and power is expected to be restored by 4:30 p.m.

3:40 p.m. – A circuit in a portion of north central Omaha locked out just before 3 p.m., Friday afternoon. The outage is impacting 1,047 customers and spans from Curtis Avenue to Binney Street and from 63rd to 84th streets.

There is no cause at this time nor an estimation of when the outage will be resolved, but a trouble shooter is en route to investigate.
