Southwest Omaha power outage

10 a.m., Oct. 17

OPPD found a bad underground cable, which caused the power outage in Southwest Omaha. Our crews were able to switch power to another source in order to restore power at 9:20 a.m.

Work continues to repair the cable; however, this is not expected to impact your service further.

8:45 a.m., Oct. 17

OPPD troubleshooters are responding to a power outage impacting 1,331 customers in Southwest Omaha. The circuit serving them locked out at 8:38 a.m.

Those impacted are between Rockbrook Rd. (north) and F St. (south), between 88th St. and 105th St.

We do not yet have a cause or estimated time of restoration, but we will post new details here as we learn them.
