North Omaha power outage

10:35 a.m., Aug. 20, 2024

A circuit lockout left 989 customers without power in the North Omaha area this morning. It started shortly before 7 a.m., impacting the area between Meredith Ave. and Wirt St., from 45th St. to 41st St.

Troubleshooters found a tree had fallen on a power line near 42nd & Wirt St. They have managed to restore power to some customers at 9:52 a.m.. We expect the remaining customers will have power by about 1:30 p.m., barring any unforeseen problems.
