7:55 p.m., April 24, 2025 – Most of the customers in Cass County who were impacted by a downed power line had their electricity back shortly after 6 p.m. Nearly 40 customers are still without power while the final repairs are made. We expect those repairs to be completed and power back by 9 p.m., barring any unforeseen challenges.
5:50 p.m. – Currently, 937 customers are without power in our service territory. The majority are in the Elmwood area, where a circuit serving 744 customers is out. Those impacted are between Mil Rd. and A St., from St. Hwy 63 to 346th St. They lost power around 4:14 p.m. Our troubleshooters found a downed power line and are currently making repairs. They hope to have power restored by 8 p.m., barring any unforeseen problems.
4:40 p.m. – With stormy weather moving through our areas, including heavy rain and lightning, we have nearly 900 customers who are reported to be without power at this time. Most are in Cass County. OPPD crews are out troubleshooting problems so we can restore power as it is safe to do so.
