11:55a.m. Our crews are investigating a report that a tree may have taken down a power line, causing the Bellevue power outage.
11:25 a.m. OPPD is responding to a new circuit outage in Bellevue. Approximately 1,306 customers lost power at 11:15 a.m. Those impacted are between Harrison St. and Childs Rd., from 30th St. to Bellevue Blvd. We will share more information as we learn it.
10 a.m. The circuit outage in North Omaha was restored at 9:51 a.m. More than 500 outages remain. Our crews continue to troubleshoot and make repairs to bring customers back online. We thank those impacted for their patience as we work through the issues caused by early morning storms.
9:45 a.m. Our troubleshooters found a tree in a power line, causing the outage in North Omaha. They are working with our Forestry team to remove the obstruction safely to bring power back to those impacted customers. They are expecting to have power restored by 10:30 a.m., barring any unforeseen difficulties.
9:15 a.m. Early morning storms caused power outages in eight counties — most in Douglas County, where 1,500 are currently without power. More than 1,600 are without power, in total, throughout our service territory. Lightning and tree limb interference with power lines have both been issues.
The highest number of outages right now – 988 – are tied to a circuit that serves an area within North Omaha from Meredith Ave. to Wirt St., between 45th and 36th streets. Our crews are troubleshooting and make repairs in order to get customers back online as quickly as safely possible.
