As of 5 p.m. today, we have returned to normal operations. Our crews are finishing work on the final outages and will remain on shift until 9 p.m.
We’re nearing the end of our customer restorations after last week’s record-shattering blizzard outage, but work will continue behind the scenes long after it’s over.
We’re inching toward the homestretch, but restoration work will keep going until the job is done.
Crews play the game of inches to restore the most complex, most-damaged areas of the district, with rural repairs more time and resource intensive. As of 6 pm, 5,525 customers are still without power.
This evening, we have more than 1,000 OPPD workers and partners scattered throughout our service territory to restore power.
