Power outage in South Central Omaha

3:50 p.m., June 22

OPPD crews managed to restore power to all but 45 customers as of 2:36 p.m. The cause of this outage was a powerline being knocked down by an excavator doing construction work in the area of 84th & H. Our crews will keep working to make the necessary repairs to bring the remaining customers back online as quickly as safely possible.

2:50 p.m., June 22

OPPD troubleshooters are investigating a power outage impacting 370 customers between I-80 to the north, L St. to the south, 90th St. to the west and 74th St. to the east.

We do not yet have a cause or estimate for restoration, but we will post more information as we learn more from our crews.
