Power outage in north central Omaha

2:03 p.m., Sept. 26

The below power outage was restored at 1:57 p.m. The cause was a bad feeder cable coming from our substation. OPPD crews are working to make repairs, but this should not further  impact electrical service in the area.

12:58 p.m., Sept. 26

A power outage is impacting 1,121 customers in north central Omaha. It began at 12:52 p.m. Those impacted are between the boundaries of Bedford Ave. to the north and Hamilton St. to the south, between 88th St. and 108th St.

OPPD troubleshooters are en route to investigate the cause of the outage in order to restore power as quickly and as safely as possible. Right now, we do not have an estimated time of restoration. However, we will post updates as we learn more.
