Majority of outage in south-central Omaha resolved

2:10 p.m.

Most of the customers impacted in the Thursday afternoon outage have already had their service restored. There are 119 customers without power but should be restored by 3 p.m. barring an unforeseen incidents.

2 p.m.

An outage impacting 2,887 customers has reported Thursday afternoon and was reportedly caused by a tree taking down an overhead wire. The outage impacts customers from L Street to West Centennial Road and from 79th to 93rd streets. Barring any unforeseen circumstances or safety concerns, power is expected to be restored by 3 p.m. Some customers may see power restoration shortly due to switching to neighboring circuits.
