Power restored to Omaha customers affected by outage

At 4:22 p.m., OPPD crews restored power to the Omaha customers affected by the below outage. The cause was a downed power line.

June 27, 4:11 p.m.

OPPD troubleshooters have confirmed that a primary line is down across the intersection of 120th Street and Leavenworth Road. They’re working to make the site safe and begin work to restore power to affected customers.

We’re still aiming to have power restored by 5 p.m., barring any unforeseen circumstances. We’ll post more updates as they come.

OPPD troubleshooters are responding to an outage in western Omaha affecting 1,304 customers.

The affected area is border is bordered roughly by Nicholas Street to the north, Pacific Street to the south, 115th Street to the east and 130th Street to the west.

We haven’t yet pinpointed a cause, but local emergency responders have received reports of a brush fire in the area and a downed primary line.

We’re aiming to have power restored by 5 p.m., barring any unforeseen circumstances that could change that timeline.
