Power restored to all Cass County customers

OPPD has restored power to all customers affected by an outage in Cass County.

The outage ended at 1:28 p.m. Crews are still on site and will continue to work on replacing equipment damaged by a July 4 storm.

A severe thunderstorm rolled through the Eagle area Tuesday night and caused damage to property.

July 5, 6:10 a.m.

The number of customers affected by an outage in Cass County has been reduced to 108. The outage initially affected 326 customers on that circuit and another 917 on a separate circuit.

July 5, 5:49 a.m.

OPPD has restored power to 917 of the customers affected by an outage in Cass County and will continue work to restore power to the remaining 326 who are without power due to a fallen tree.

Power was restored to the 917 customers on one circuit at 11:42 p.m. Tuesday. A forestry crew worked through the night to remove a tree that fell on a power pole. An OPPD line crew is on site and is in the process of replacing the pole to restore power to the 326 customers still affected.

We don’t have an estimated restoration time right now due to the complicated nature of this work. Our crew is hoping to have the process completed by late afternoon or early evening, barring any unforeseen circumstances.

OPPD is responding to an outage affecting 1,243 customers in Cass County.

We’ve received reports of a broken pole near Highway 34 and 226th Street.

Two circuit are affected. One is bordered by Adams Street to the north, County Road C to the south, 274th Street to the east and 190th Street to the west. That outage affects 326 customers.

The other circuit is bordered by Railway Avenue to the north, County Road B to the south, 250th Street to the east and 190th Street to the west. That outage affects 917 customers.

We don’t have an estimated restoration time at the moment but will provide one as soon as we have it.
