Power restored to nearly all customers after midtown outage

5:25 p.m.

Power has been restored to nearly all of the remaining customers affected by this outage.

5:15 p.m.

Troubleshooters are on site and have restored power to 1,305 of the customers affected by this outage. They are now working as quickly and safely as possible to restore power to the remaining 989 customers.

A fire was the cause of the circuit lockout. We will continue to provide updates here.

4:40 p.m.

A circuit lockout this afternoon knocked out power to a total of 2,294 customers in two areas in midtown Omaha. The first area is bordered by Dodge Street to the north and Pacific street to the south, between 21st and 34th Streets. The second area is bordered by Harney Street to the north and Pierce Street to the south, between 18th Street and 27th Street.

Troubleshooters are en route to the area to. No cause is known at this time.  We will provide updates here as they make progress.
