Power restoration complete

Tuesday, August 15

2:10 p.m. – OPPD’s line crew and troubleshooter reattached the overhead primary line and restored power to all impacted customers at 2:05 p.m.

12:25 p.m. – Crews were able to remove a large tree that caused this morning’s outage. In doing so, a span of primary wire came down and now 416 customers are without power. A line crew has been dispatched to assist in re-attaching and re-energizing the line.

Barring any unforeseen circumstances or complications, power should be restored by 2 p.m. We know how important power is to our customers and our crews are working as quickly and as safely as they can in their restoration efforts.

11:18 a.m. – OPPD troubleshooters have restored power to all but 30 customers affected by an outage in Omaha.

We’re seeking to restore power to those remaining customers by noon, barring any unforeseen circumstances or complications. We’ll keep you posted with updates as soon as we get them.

The outage initially affected 1,264 customers in the area of 108th to 52nd streets and from State Street to Deer Ridge Road.

9:50 a.m. – OPPD troubleshooters have identified a fallen tree as the cause of the outage and are working to restore power.

We’ve called for a crew to remove the tree as soon as possible. Dispatchers will work to isolate affected equipment and get power restored to as many customers as possible. However, some will remain out until the tree is removed.

We’re now projecting that all customers will have their power restored by noon, barring any unforeseen circumstances. We’ll keep you posted with updates as soon as we get them.

9:20 a.m. – OPPD troubleshooters are still trying to pinpoint the cause of an outage that has left approximately 1,264 Omaha customers without power.

We’re hoping to have power restored by 10:30 a.m., barring any unforeseen circumstances or complications. We’ll keep you posted with updates as soon as we have them.

7:50 a.m. – A power outage was reported this morning in the area of 108th to 52nd streets and from State Street to Deer Ridge Road at 7:38 a.m. The outage is impacting 1,264 customers. A crew is en route to investigate the cause.
