Outage in southwest Omaha

Monday, August 28

10:25 a.m. – Troubleshooters found a damaged arrester on a power pole and will restore the rest of those impacted by the outage through switching power for those customers so they can be fed by neighboring circuits.

All customers should have their power restored by 10:40 a.m., barring any unforeseen incidents.

Troubleshooters will be able to restore all power with field switching. ETR 1040am

 

9:30 a.m. – Troubleshooters continue patrolling the circuit to find the cause of this morning’s outage. So far, a cause has not been found but 1,551 customers have been restored after closing a breaker at the substation that feeds the circuit.

Crews continue to search for the cause. There are approximately 956 customers still without power.

8:20 a.m. – An outage impacting 2,408 customers was reported this morning. The outage spans from Harrison to I streets and from 116th to 132nd streets.

There is no cause at this time but troubleshooters are en route to investigate the cause. More updates will be posted here as they become available.
