An OPPD team is on its way to a repair an outage affecting 1,157 customers in eastern Cass County, just outside of Plattsmouth.

The outage began just before 3:30 p.m. in an area roughly bordered by Beach Road to the east, Mynard Road to the south, 96th Street to the west and the Platte River to the north.

We have identified the cause as a breaker that opened at a local substation. A line technician crew from Louisville and substation crew are on their way.

We received a report of the circuit lockout at 3:29 p.m. We don’t yet have an estimated time of restoration, but will post updates as soon as we know them.
