Power outage in Sarpy County

9:55 a.m.

The vast majority of the power outage in Sarpy County has been restored. The remaining 200 customers still without power will be restored once crews finish with switching power in the area. The outage was caused by a vehicle hitting a power pole just before 7 a.m. The collision happened at 168th and Gertrude streets.

8:25 a.m.

A vehicle hit a power pole at 168th and Gertrude streets causing the morning power outage in Sarpy County. Crews are working as safely and quickly as possible to restore power to the impacted area. Barring any unforeseen circumstances, power should be restored by 9 a.m.

7:40 a.m. 

Power has been disrupted for 1,637 customers Wednesday morning. The outage, which may have been caused by a power pole struck by a vehicle shortly before 7 a.m., spans from Harrison Street to Canyon Trail and from 156th to 180th streets. Trouble shooters are en route to investigate the outage.
