10 a.m.
The Douglas County outage was resolved at 9:44 a.m. It was caused by a tree branch interfering with power lines at South 84th Street and Ridgewood Avenue. Power was restored after the troubleshooters removed the branch.
9:20 a.m.
The Washington County outage was caused by a downed wire and the circuit was restored at 9:11 a.m.
The Douglas County outage is still being investigated.
8:45 a.m.
As the rain continues to fall, we’re seeing a number of power outages in Douglas and Washington counties. In Douglas there are 1,228 customers without power and in Washington there are 544 customers out.
Troubleshooters are en route to investigate and make repairs. The cause of the Douglas County outage is not yet known but an equipment issue was found to be the cause in the Washington County outage and repairs are underway.
Barring any unforeseen circumstances, the Washington County outage is expected to be resolved by 9:30 a.m.
