Troubleshooters restore power in south Omaha

OPPD troubleshooters have restored power to all customers affected by a south Omaha outage.

The team that arrived on site identified a burnt pole top as the cause. Troubleshooters were able to fix the problem on site.

The outage affected 1,998 customers.

OPPD troubleshooters are on their way to an outage in south Omaha affecting 1,998 customers.

The outage began at 9:01 a.m. The affected area is roughly bordered by P Street to the north, Chandler Road to the south, 30th Street to the west and the Missouri River to the east.

We have not verified a cause, but received reports that a car may have hit a wooden pole.

Troubleshooters will identify the cause as soon as they arrive and will begin work to restore power. We don’t have an estimated restoration time right now but will provide updates as soon as we get them.
