Outage in northwest Omaha

1:50 p.m. – Troubleshooters have cleared a large branch that was likely blown onto power lines in the Bennington area this afternoon and have restored power to those impacted customers.

1:40 p.m. – OPPD troubleshooters found a tree had been blown onto power lines near 150th Street and Bennington Road. They will clear the tree and barring any unforeseen circumstances expect to have power restored by 2:30 p.m.

Wind gusts and sustained winds are high today. According to the National Weather Service in Valley, sustained winds are up to 30 mph and wind gusts have been reported as high as 45 mph today.

1 p.m. – Troubleshooters are en route to investigate the cause of an outage in northwest Omaha that was reported at 12:43 p.m. There is no known cause at this time.

The outage is impacting 2,714 customers from State to Fort streets and from 114th to 138th streets. More information will be posted here when it becomes available.
