OPPD has restored power to customers affected by the southeast Nebraska outage.

OPPD crews are working to restore power to customers affected by an outage in far southeastern Nebraska.
The outage was caused when an outside construction contractor, not working for OPPD, ran a crane into some power lines west of Verdon in Richardson County. No one was injured.
We’re predicting a 3 p.m. restoration time, barring any unforeseen circumstances.

OPPD has de-energized a power line in southeast Nebraska, resulting in an outage for more than 1,100 customers, after a construction crane struck the line.
We did so as a safety precaution so crews can address the situation and make repairs as needed. We don’t have an estimated restoration time right now but will provide updates as soon as we know more.
