Power restored to all customers affected by Omaha outage

OPPD has restored power to all of the remaining customers affected by an outage in Omaha.

Troubleshooters located a bad underground cable and isolated the problem. All customers were restored as of 6:52 p.m.

The affected area was roughly bordered by State Street to the north, Meredith Avenue to the south, 82nd Street to the east and Highway 133 to the west.

5:25 p.m.

OPPD troubleshooters have restored power to most of the customers affected by an Omaha outage and are working on those who are still without power.

We still don’t have a cause or an estimated restoration time, but will provide updates as soon as they’re available. Of the 1,447 customers originally affected by the outage, 498 are still without power.

OPPD is sending two troubleshooters to an Omaha outage affecting 1,447 customers.
