Troubleshooters have determined a damaged switch is the cause of this morning’s outage and will need replacing. They will begin switching customers to other circuits and should have everyone back online by 12:30 p.m., barring any unforeseen circumstances.
11:11 a.m.
A circuit lockout in midtown Omaha left 1,678 customers without power this morning.
Troubleshooters have been dispatched, and we will provide updates here as we learn more.
The affected area is bounded by Harney Street to the north and Wright Street to the south, between 29th Street and 40th Street.
