OPPD has restored power to the final customers who lost electrical service due to an equipment failure at a power pole in Omaha.
All customers were back on as of 11:56 a.m. At its peak, the outage affected 1,138 customers in an area roughly bordered by Hickory Street to the north, Howe Street to the south, 112th Street to the east and 126th Street to the west.
The outage began at 6:35 a.m. when a guy wire supporting a power pole snapped, tearing down a three-phase primary line near 114th Street and West Center Road.

OPPD has restored power to nearly all of the 1,138 customers affected by an outage in Omaha.
We isolated the downed overhead primary line and closed the affected circuit breaker at 7:46 a.m. The cause of the outage was equipment failure on a power pole.
Five of those original customers are still out. Our troubleshooter is still on the scene and has requested a line crew to help with that work. We expect to have those remaining customers restored by 9:30 a.m., barring any unforeseen developments.
